The son of American evangelist Benny Hinn, Joshua Hinn was arrested in Brazil after allegedly beating up a deaf and dumb man during one of his father's rallies.

Hestephenson Araujo, 21, reportedly needed hospital treatment after the incident on Saturday night during a religious crusade in Manaus, northern Brazil.

Mr Araujo, was carrying a bottle of water, that he wanted blessed by the famous evangelist. He believes that Benny Hinn could heal him. Upon approaching the trailers where hinn and others were, he said he was "snatched, taken away and beaten."

Tactical squad officers burst into the trailer after concerned members of the public reported hearing screams coming from the trailer.

Police detained Joshua Hinn, 21, along with two of Benny Hinn's bodyguards, on suspicion of torture.

Mr Araujo was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he received medical treatment and was later released. Manaus' Civil Police confirmed the three men, all Americans, were arrested and taken to the city's 3rd Integrated Police Department for questioning.

The men reportedly claimed they didn't know that Mr Araujo was deaf and dumb and wanted to know why he had approached Benny Hinn during his sermon.

According to police, Mr Araujo's father, a sign language translator, entered into an agreement with Benny Hinn's representatives to not press charges against the men.

Jesus warned that these false preachers who boast of doing mighty works in his name for their own gain and fame will face the judgement and be cast into outer darkness! Even the devil can quote scripture.By their fruits you shall know them,said Jesus. And the fruits of these high profile preachers are there for all to see! From nothing,they have amassed millions of dollars for themselves and their families! They have used the name of Jesus for self-agrandisem ent! They will face the wrath of God in the coming judgement!

Really shocking! If the so-called man of god is really wired to heaven,how come the poor chap got beaten up by his security goons? He would have been warned that the kid is deaf and mute. But almost everyone knows that these high profile preachers are out to fleece gullible people who think these are men of god! No substantiated miracles have ever taken place.Most of those claimed to be are in the psycho sphere,where a person may feel better for a moment and then relapse.Jesus Christ raised the dead,made the lame walk,the mute to speak and healed sick people! Most of today's preachers are false preachers building their own little kingdoms at the cost of foolish and gullible believers! God save them!
