Looking to provide a postseason anthem for the Atlanta Braves and their fans, self-described “freelance creative” Aaron Chewning created a parody of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” song and video that he’s dubbed “Baselines.”
The video features young ladies in Braves attire, a Braves mascot and lyrics celebrating the Braves’ season, NL East crown and the inevitable 2013 World Series victory.
It also features homages to many of the Braves players and coaches, including the Upton brothers, manager Fredi Gonzalez and closer Craig Kimbrell.
The chorus, for example, goes as follows:
“We got the Uptons,
We got the Johnsons,
We’re pretty awesome.
The whole world!
They aint ready,
We got the Freddies,
We’ve won already,
All these baselines!”
