It's really crazy how people going on and on with this Beyonce thing. So whattttt it's no big deal. It is so many other important issues that folks should be concerned with than worrying if she sang live or not. This is such a petty argument and folks should move on to the next thing that they can find to complain about. I love and agree with this article and wish folks would just move on!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more with this article. And since the Marine Corp Band have mimed before many times in the past, as they freely admit, NO apology is owed to them. These ridiculous people who have made this row into a scandal, are evidencing nothing more than schadenfreude and envy. Beyonce sang vocal for the anthem the night before. It was all her, and just her. She sang over it on the day to make sure it entertained the billions who were tuning in. That is the prerogative of any entertainer, and certainly one who has given as much as Beyonce has during her 25 years in the business. If people are looking for scalps in the music industry, take a pot shot at the revolting pop bimbos and boy bands that litter the charts.

I could not disagree more with your highly flawed argument. I can think of roughly 130 people to whom Beyonce owes an apology to - namely the members of the Marine Corps Band. I'm sure for those individuals it was a big moment for them and their families. I am assuming they practiced a lot for their performance and I'm sure it was devastating when they were old at the last minute that they needed to "Fake" their performance. Band members have been quoted as saying that "it sucked" that I had to "fake blow" into my instrument. Not to mention the National Anthem of the USA is performed LIVE. Go on youtube - you can find videos of kids -even a 4 year old singing the anthem LIVE. Dion, you completely missed the point - the National Anthem is performed on a daily basis LIVE at hundreds of events all across the country. Its what we expect. The Super Bowl next week will have a LIVE performance. Who ever heard of faking the national anthem? The inauguration committee expected LIVE.

Great article! I loved how you broke it down. I also agree with Kia, it wasn't someone from her actual camp but someone from the marine band. I don't think Beyonce will respond, because like you stated, she doesn't have to. All of those that are quick to say what she should and shouldn't do considering it was the National Anthem, probably don't even know the words or more importantly did not even take the time to vote.

I agree with this whole article n thank u 4 writing it...however, one but from what I saw she was singing live to her OWN prerecord track...which from what I understand is standard practice in these types of events...the only "fact" that is incorrect is...it was not anybody in B's camp, it was some fool from the marine corps who told the media...but thanks for the commentary...on point!!!!!!
