Deny this: Science agrees that it’s real but not a real crisis. Liberals and media are the only ones saying a crisis will actually happen since science has only said it “could” and “might” etc. happen and it’s been 27 years of research. Science didn’t lie and studying the effects and rarely causes of an assumed to be real climate change crisis isn’t a crime. Not one IPCC warning is without “maybes”. The ultimate crisis needs the ultimate proof, not “maybe”.

What more as a nation should we do? Most people simply cannot afford to go "green." Regulatory groups (EPA) are simply corrupt and show obvious signs of accepting bribes to turn a blind eye while attacking the general populace with regulations that drive up costs of manufacturing forcing companies to outsource to escape our countries enviromental policies. So I ask the poster list the "something's" that must be done this is a global event and you might be amazed by how flexible our planet really is with its ability to bounce back from species ending events in its history. Not saying we shouldn't do something, anything for that matter but we need to create a reasonable way of doing that something that is within our global reach as a group. Stepping off soapbox now.

The effects of CO2 on the oceans is well documented. The possibility of the disruption of our food sources by pollution is also well documented. There are stronger and better documented arguments that can and should be used. Because of the way that "Climate Science" works it is "Scare Tactics and Fear Mongering". We should back off on those and start talking reasonably about the effects the rest of human activities are having on the planet. The things that solve those problems also solve this problem. It is not about fixing climatic shift, it is about protecting the world we live in so that it will continue to support us as a species. Climatic Shift is but a small part of that.

Greetings, I think the important part to remember is that we have not proven that the dramatic climatic shift is caused by human activity. We should be cleaning up pollution because it is bad for the environment and the health of every living thing. This means that the actions needed to correct this climatic shift are needed absent the climatic shift itself. This position changes the argument to be about ecology and not politics. The climatic shift may or may not be caused by humans. At this point we are pretty sure that it is. Pretty sure is not good enough to rise to the level of fact. The argument is silly because we need to accomplish the mitigating activities for many other reasons. The one that is stated (Climatic Shift) is the most dramatic and also the easiest to attack.

Kudos on a thoughtful and informed article. "The question is more what does the evidence show?" Exactly. I could care less about how many pundits rant about their perception of a science they clearly do not understand. So let's let scientific findings guide our decision making.
